Eddie Murphy Admits He’s The Father

Eddie Murphy has conceded that he did indeed father a daughter with Melanie Brown.

Eddie Murphy acknowledged he is the father of Melanie Brown’s young daughter Friday, a day after the former Spice Girl took legal action to establish him as the child’s parent.

Murphy, 46, “always has and will continue to honor his responsibilities as a father,” according to a statement released through his publicist, Arnold Robinson.

“Mr. Murphy and Ms. Brown dated very briefly and never made any plans of ANY sort,” the statement said. “He acknowledges paternity of the child Angel, and has paid child support to Ms. Brown as well as covering the expenses of her pregnancy.”

Brown, aka Scary Spice, filed a petition Thursday that seeks to legally establish Murphy as the father. She said she and Murphy dated for four months in 2006 before mutually deciding to have a child.

She says it was a mutal agreement, and his spokesman claims he has always honored his responsibilities as a father, and even paid for the expenses of her pregnancy, but in June of this year, he was singing a different tune.

Eddie Murphy underwent a DNA test to yesterday to determine whether he is the father of Mel B’s baby.Eddie has continually denied claims he is the father of two-month-old Angel Iris after splitting with Mel while she was pregnant.

How does continually denying you are the father translate into “always honoring your responsibilities as a father”? Huh? ’s amazing to me, how celebrities deny the truth, and continue to play in the garden of life, until the truth is revealed and they have no other choice.
